Iris nearly beats down the door to the bar as she returns to Milliways, the color of her skin nearly sickly-pale and hair darkened with her frustration and anger.
Anger. Iris, goddess of color and light and rainbows, is angry.
She almost runs to the door towards the lake, throws it open, and immediately takes flight. No paths of light trail behind her.

A small attempt at a joke.

It makes him smile slightly.

"Let us retire inside?"

It just comes out as a shrug.

Then I'll find a way to keep you occupied with other things so no pain can slip in.

But the kiss is welcome, and so is the enthusiasm, and all of him against her.
"Lead on."
no subject
He breaks the kiss and starts to lead her to the Bar, "Shall we get the same room as before? We can order dinner upstairs and I can take care of you tonight."
no subject
With an undercurrent of Yes, please.
no subject
"What would you like for dinner?"
no subject
Grown, not killed. (The lady Demeter might approve.)
no subject
"Will that do?"

He picks up the tray and kisses her lightly on the lips.

"I'd thought that the magic would revert this room to its original state. I am happy it did not."

"Perhaps we should have acquired you a book," Iris hazards. "I had not thought to add much to this room the last time we used it."
no subject
"I did though. I asked Bar to add whatever she thought you might like."

Since he can and he likes Bar though he does need to check in with Sallie now that Cubefall's over.

There are hidden places in the room. The trunk, under the bed. And a whole other room adjacent besides.
Eyes narrowing playfully at Charles, "Perhaps I am destined for puzzles and searching."
no subject
He pulls off his shoes and rests his jacket on a chair before sitting and watching her.

Standing now, it might be time to investigate the trunk.

"Oh Charles, come look!"
